28-29 May 2018: Fehmarnbelt Days, Malmö (Sweden)

Two days of discussions, meetings and opportunities to strengthen cross-border collaboration in the Fehmarn belt region, the Fehmarnbelt Days are a reoccurring event taking place in different countries and regions each time. This year the event is hosted by the city of Malmö.

11 April 2018: MAMBA invited to speak at Interreg Central Europe project meeting, Budapest (Hungary)

“Peripheral Access” is an Interreg Central Europe project with partners from 9 countries. The aim of the project is to “interlink in its work plan the three main success factors for better transport: 1) Intermodality; 2) Use of Intelligent Communication Technologies (ICT) and Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS); and 3) Smart governance: cooperation and marketing.”

22-23 March 2018: 3rd transnational partner meeting, Joensuu (FInland)

Organised by the Regional Council of North Karelia, Finland

 

Mamba organises two partner meeting per year, and the first one in 2018 takes place in Joensuu in Eastern Finland. The meeting is hosted by the Regional Council of North Karelia. You can read more about their work in Mamba under Pilots. The partner meetings give all partners an opportunity to inform themselves about the progresses in the other pilots, exchange knowledge and experiences as well as plan the work ahead.

27 September 2018: A sociocultural perspective on mobility solution and good practices cases.

Nordregio Head of GIS Department, Julien Grunfelder, will present some of the findings from MAMBA at the stakeholder meeting of the ESPON URRUC project on 27 September in Umeå, Sweden.

The ESPON URRUC project looks at, among other things, what are the potentials, opportunities, and challenges for developing flexible and sustainable urban-rural transport connections and systems in non-metropolitan regions. Hence the relevance to share some of the findings from MAMBA. Julien’s presentation will focus on the sociocultural perspective on mobility solution and good practices cases identified in MAMBA.

7-8 March 2018: Interreg BSR Communications Seminar, Lübeck

Communication seminar organised for the communications managers of projects approved in the second and first call of Interreg Baltic Sea Region. Mamba will participate through Nordregio and Johanna Feuk who will hold an “inspirational talk” on “How to do project communications with partners spread across several countries”.
