Finish National Stakeholder Conference had to go online due to Covid-19 restrictions
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic the national stakeholder event originally planned in Helsinki in March 2020 had to be cancelled and changed to be an online webinar called “Rural Mobility Solutions Today and Tomorrow” (in Finnish: Maaseudun liikkumisen ratkaisut tänään ja huomenna).
The Finnish project partners from South Ostrobothnia (Etelä-Pohjanmaan liitto/the Regional Council of South Ostrobothnia and Seinäjoen Ammattikorkeakoulu/Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences) and from North Karelia (Pohjois-Karjalan maakuntaliitto/the Regional Council of North Karelia) organised this successful webinar together and it gained a wide awareness all around the country.
The participants represented for example municipalities, regional councils, national authorities, NGOs (such as village associations) and members of the Finnish parliament. Altogether up to 80 attendees joined the webinar to hear about latest rural mobility issues presented by various speakers.
