Third trans-national partner meeting happened in Rendsburg

The 3rd meeting between Diaconie and their associated partners from NordKolleg took place on 1 March 2019, in Rendsburg. The participants, among which were associated partners, regional stakeholders and representatives of the local Mobility Centre, focused on discussing the facets, dimensions and challenges of health care in rural areas. One of the most poignant problems of remote areas located in the Schleswig-Holstein region is the declining number of doctor’s offices and family doctors in particular. The project management team of DB Medibus presented one of the best practice examples of the MAMBA inventory, which consists of a public bus that was repurposed to serve as a mobile doctor’s office. With the help of a virtual guided tour, the project management team of Medibus managed to give participants a real insider’s perspective.
